Mariano Sigman: LA MAQUINA QUE CONSTRUYE LA REALIDAD Mariano Sigman estudia la máquina que construye la realidad. Investiga cómo emergen de una mezcla casi infinita de células y cables (axones y neuronas) el pensamiento, la memoria, los sueños, las emociones y la conciencia. Experimenta con ilusiones visuales y busca en trazas de la actividad neuronal los motivos de la toma de decisiones, del lenguaje y del pensamiento consciente e inconsciente. Mariano es Licenciado en Física, Doctor en Neurociencia y posee un Postdoctorado en Ciencias Cognitivas. En los últimos años ha dado cursos en reconocidas universidades e institutos locales e internacionales (Instituto de Neurociencia de Natal en Brasil, Rockefeller University en New York, Instituto Balseiro en Bariloche, Universidad de Chile en Santiago) y dirige el Laboratorio de Neurociencia Integrativa del departamento de Física de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
